We are pleased to inform you that the next bi-annual Digisonde Forum will be held at UMASS Lowell, Center for Atmospheric Research, from 11-14 May 2009. We will be reviewing the current status of the Global Ionospheric Radio Observatory (GIRO), ionogram data distribution and assimilation including the URSI adapted SAO-XML data exchange format, new hardware and software developments, especially the new Digisonde-4D.
